Unfortunately Vant tried to ride up the hill and was unsuccessful at judging the gradient of the hill, so he fell and hurt his knee slightly. We decided to take a break at a cornfield.
We then napped at a nearby tree while waiting for the can to come for Vant since his knee swelled up a bit too much. It was a delightful nap, but sweep caught up to us. They napped with us too. Soon we kept trekking along. The heat was intense, but Lydia, Hannah, and I kept a good pace until lunch! It was a peaceful lunch in a dug out. It was also our one month anniversary of being together today! Michelle drew a picture in chalk.
We arrived in Pittsfield around 4:30, and we got to jump in a pool which was delightful. The host cooked us an excellent dinner as always. We're also staying in houses tonight. I am laying on a bed, and it is super wonderful. I love how hospitable people are in these small towns!
We're going to Mark Twain's hometown in Missouri tomorrow!
